Studying abroad will be one of your most memorable and impactful experiences. Everyone can have a study abroad experience. It’s important to plan early. The earliest you can study abroad is Year 1 Winter Term (i.e., this coming January).

Join this session to get information about study abroad options, application processes, funding support to finance your study abroad, and other resources provided by HKUST.

The Office of Global Learning Experience invites you to the HKUST High Table Dinner. Held at the beautiful Shaw Auditorium on our campus, the High Table Dinner brings together faculty and undergraduate students from across academic disciplines for an evening over a 3-course dinner.  Each evening is highlighted with a Keynote Address. It will be a wonderful time of conversations with student peers and faculty. There are three Dinners held on three evenings: 15, 16, 17 September 2026.

Topic: AI and the Future of Work

Speaker: Prof. Joon Nak Choi, Adjunct Associate Professor, School of Business and Management

16 September:

Topic: The Future of Medicine

Speaker: Prof. King Li, Dean of Medicine

17 September:

Topic: Why We Don’t All Live in the Same World (Even Though We Do)

Speaker: Prof. Christine Loh, Chief Development Strategist, HKUST Institute for the Environment

We invite you to indicate your interest to join the Dinner by completing the HKUST High Table Dinner: Interest Form by 28 August 2026. Please note that due to venue capacity constraints, it may not be possible to accommodate everyone. Completion of the interest form does not guarantee enrollment. Instructions for ticket purchase will be emailed to enrolled students afterwards.

Event Details

There are three Dinners held on three evenings: 15, 16, 17 September 2026 (You can state your preferred date(s) on the interest form)

Time: 6:30pm-10:00pm

Venue: HKUST Shaw Auditorium

Dress code: Formal attire (Students will wear a black gown on top which will be provided at the venue)

Menu: There will be a choice of pork, fish or vegetarian

Ticket: Successful registrants will receive an email indicating their assigned dinner date and a secure payment link. The cost is HK$100 to secure your seat to the Dinner. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your seat is only confirmed upon payment.
